Jan 14 2022 - Foggy and Icy

Quick update:
Back in October I sprained my ankle and broke my [foot] cuboid and lateral cuneiform doing absolutely nothing during a soccer game. I had bladed studs and was playing on spongy artificial turf. As I was running and coming to a stop, my cleat got stuck in the turf and buckled my ankle a few times before I went down... it was intensely painful and I collapsed with a shriek. After 6 weeks in a boot and a little physical therapy, I am able to walk and more importantly, able to snowboard again!

It's been a slow start to the season but I am finally back out on the snow up in Whistler, BC. The first few days have been testing out what I can and can't do with my recovering ankle and the snow was actually quite nice during that time. I have been trying to get out consistently for an hour or two each day. Today was especially foggy on most Blackcomb but I managed to ride out to 7th Heaven and enjoyed a brief bit of daylight. Despite the challenging environment I managed to get in some 180 practice on a couple mogul patches, which is a lot of fun. I got back to the condo and passed out for a few hours... apparently I got a pretty good workout.
